For their fall issue of the magazine, Destination I Do commissioned us to produce a romantic jewel tone wedding shoot for a 6-page spread. From the venue to the overflowing florals and hanging installations, this shoot was over the top in all of the best ways. Under a canopy of falling greenery and Edison bulb lights was a table filled with moody centerpieces of deep purple and rich pink peonies. For the tabletop rentals, we wanted to go ultra-elegant with more jewel tones, black, and marble. On top of white marble plates rimmed in gold were jeweled green napkins tied with oversized royal purple bows. Marbled candles, pitch black goblets, and cloudy place cards added to the unique and glamorous effect. A vintage teal rug tied it all together! The most eye-catching piece of the evening, however, was the solid jet-black cake, decorated with blood red and soft pink blooms, gold filament, and angular, curling black fondant. These accents were matched in the lounge area, with black couches, white and gold tipped chairs, and velvety pillows in muted floral colors. The bride stood out in her radiant white gown, with berry lips that matched the bridesmaids’ dresses. The deep moody colors with accents of marble and gold created a rich and luxurious atmosphere for the bridal party. This shoot truly stood out in the magazine as unique and totally inspirational – Who wouldn’t want to have a jewel tone wedding after this?!
