Barefoot & Black Tie Inspiration for Destination I Do Magazine
For the Fall 2018 issue of Destination I Do magazine, the editorial team wanted to go for a barefoot and black tie theme to show that you can still have a formal wedding in a beach setting! We took the idea and ran with it, creating a moody and elegant shoot that was completely shot on the sands in Santa Barbara, CA. Black and white blooms mixed with greenery created an incredible half-arch ceremony setup, and we embraced the asymmetrical feel with benches lining one side. The cake was inspired by the ocean, and had lifelike barnacles crawling up the sides. For the bouquets, the florist pulled dark non-traditional blooms to bring in the black colorway, and mixed in classic white roses to balance it out. The tablescape was moody wedding perfection – Vintage-inspired details and intricate stationery was the perfect finishing touch to a gorgeous shoot!
